Sobeys Inc. has announced strategic management changes to strengthen its merchandising and sourcing structures. As part of the changes, the company is creating a dedicated national merchandising sourcing team and a national grocery team in merchandising.
Karl Vokey expands his role as senior vice president, merchandising sourcing and Own Brands. As part of this change, Stacie Sopinka has joined Sobeys as vice president, Own Brands and will report to Vokey.
Luc L’Archevêque, senior vice president, merchandising grocery and community will lead the national grocery team. Liam Sobey, vice president, merchandising, full service grocery, will report to L’Archevêque.
Paul MacLeod expands his role and assumes the new role of senior vice president, fresh. With this change, Mireille Thibodeau, vice president, produce merchandising (fresh merchandising in Quebec), a recent Grocery Business Women in Produce recipient, and Yan Branco, vice president, national produce sourcing, will report to MacLeod.
