Amazon has lowered the fee it charges suppliers of non-perishable grocery items priced at $15 or less, according to a CNBC report.

Amazon had been charging 15 per cent on all grocery items but has slashed the fee to 8 per cent on lower priced goods for at least the next year. And according to the CNBC report, the fee reduction may be “an acknowledgement by Amazon that it’s difficult for businesses to make a reasonable profit when selling some inexpensive groceries online.”
