The journey toward implementing the Grocery Sector Code of Conduct (GSCC) could be one step closer as the recruitment process for the inaugural president and adjudicator is now underway.

Boyden recently announced its partnership with the Grocery Sector Code of Conduct office in the phase. The move comes after the federal government spent $1.2 million to set up an office to oversee the GSCC.

The role will be vital in overseeing the practical implementation, operation, and ongoing adaptation of the voluntary, non-regulated GSCC. The code is set to significantly enhance certainty, transparency, and fairness within the grocery sector.
