A resident of Burnaby, B.C. has launched a class action suit against Loblaw Companies and 10 others over their roles in a price fixing conspiracy.

This is the fourth class-action lawsuit filed against Loblaw Companies Ltd. and multiple retailers. In a January 8, 2018 Globe & Mail story, Loblaw lawyer Robert Russell said that Loblaw, Weston and other companies “have been hit with seven legal actions attempting to get class action status.”

Loblaw admitted its role in the conspiracy in December. Kira Fantov of Burnaby is seeking class certification for the lawsuit and $100 million in damages according to a report in Business Vancouver.
