Costco Wholesale Corp. recently reported its January 2020 sales results and Canadian sales for the four week period ending February 2, 2020 were 7.1 per cent versus U.S. sales that were 6.9 per cent.
For the 22 weeks ending February 2, 2020, Canadian comparable sales were 5.5 per cent versus U.S. sales of 6.7 per cent.
Costco Wholesale reported net sales of $11.57 billion for the retail month of January 2020, an increase of 8.0 per cent from the $10.71 billion laser year during the same month.
Costco currently operates 785 warehouses, including 546 in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, 100 in Canada, 39 in Mexico, 29 in the United Kingdom, 26 in Japan, 16 in Korea, 13 in Taiwan, 11 in Australia, two in Spain, and one each in Iceland, France, and China. Costco also operates e-commerce sites in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Korea, Taiwan, and Japan.
