Victoria, B.C.-based The Very Good Food Company plans to expand in the U.S. and is doing it through a $5.2 million bought deal offering with Canaccord Genuity Corp.
The Very Good Food Company Inc. is an emerging plant-based food technology company that designs, develops, produces, distributes and sells a variety of plant-based meat and other food alternatives. To date it has developed a core product line under The Very Good Butchers brand.
In a news statement, the company says it plans to use the proceeds from the business transaction to expand into the U.S. as well further investment in its product portfolio.
