Clorox has announced that it is selling its Better Health Vitamins, Minerals and Supplements (VMS) business to Piping Rock Health Products.
The transaction is anticipated to be finalized in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, ending June 30. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
The Better Health VMS division accounts for approximately three per cent of Clorox’s annual net sales. As part of the transaction, Clorox expects to incur a one-time charge ranging from $114 million to $134 million in the first quarter, impacting earnings by roughly $1.00 per share.
The sale includes the Natural Vitality, NeoCell, Rainbow Light, and RenewLife brands, associated trademarks, licenses, and manufacturing and distribution facilities in Sunrise, Florida. Piping Rock Health Products, LLC, based in Bohemia, New York, will take over these assets.
Last week, Clorox reported a decline in revenue for the fiscal fourth quarter but noted an increase in profit attributed to cost-saving measures. For fiscal 2025, the company projects net sales to remain flat or decrease by up to two per cent.
