Costco is looking at adding another store in Oakville, Ont. If approved, it could bring its Canadian total to 109 locations.

A site plan application recently filed to the Town of Oakville proposes a new store in the Wyecroft Road and Burloak Drive area, located at 3471, 3487, 3505, 3509, 3513, 3517 and 3521 Wyecroft Rd.

The site represents nearly 16,000 square meters of gross floor area. The store would have 1,000 parking spaces on surface and underground levels if approved. The application recommends 16 surface-level accessible parking spaces and 673 conventional parking spaces. Additionally, 305 regular parking spots and six accessible underground parking spaces are suggested. The site plan application also includes space for 16 bicycle parking spots.

On top of the proposed retail space, the new Costco store would include a gas bar featuring a 1.4-square-metre warming hut for a service attendant. The gas bar would be located at the site’s northeast corner near the South Service Road West and RioCan Boulevard intersection.

Furthermore, two access points from Wyecroft Road are proposed to provide entry into the underground parking area. The site will also be accessible via RioCan Boulevard, with one access on the north side and a subsequent access on the east side.
