Croptracker Inc. Canada has been nominated for a Fruit Logistica Innovation Award (FLIA). The company charted in the FLIA technology category for its product, “Crop Load Vision.
Crop Load Vision (CLV) is a mobile app for counting pre-harvested fruit developed by Croptracker Inc. Using a mobile iOS device, the app captures fruit count in real time to assist growers in faster and more accurate crop load assessments. It requires no setup or internet connection and can be used at any time in the season to count fruit and fruitlets. Real-time results and on-screen feedback eliminate double counting and allow for on-the-ground, informed decision-making, a description reads.
Fruit Logistica is one of the world’s leading trade fairs for the international fresh produce trade, and it takes place annually in Berlin. The awards recognize innovation, excellence, and achievements in various categories related to the fresh produce sector.
The 18th annual event will be presented by Messe Berlin GmbH and Fruitnet Media International on Feb. 9 in Germany. CLV will compete against four other global fruit and vegetable tech companies to vie for the top prize.
