Farm Boy to open its 40th location in Oakville, Ont.


Farm Boy will be opening its 40th Fresh Market location at the end of June in Oakville, Ont.

The 29,908 sq ft location will have farm-fresh produce, butcher quality meat, Farm Boy private label items, plant-based and vegan foods, a grill station for eat-on-the-go options, full service hot bar and salad bar and will employ 135 people.

“We are so pleased to be opening our second location in Oakville,” says Jean-Louis Bellemare, president and general manager, Farm Boy. “Customers visiting the new Bronte store can expect a true fresh market shopping experience along with exceptional customer service.”

As of June 1, Farm Boy has removed single-use plastic grocery bags from all of its stores and continues to reduce its use of plastics.

Farm Boy currently has 39 Ontario locations and plans to open three more by the end of 2021.
