Federated Co-op recovers following cyber attack

Federated Co-operatives Ltd. (FCL) continues to deal with the fallout of what the company calls a “cybersecurity incident” on June 27 that affected its retail locations in western Canada.

FCL posted on social media on the day of the attack that it was experiencing a cybersecurity incident that was impacting some internal and customer-facing systems. It later announced there was no evidence consumer data was compromised.

On a social media post, FCL said that as of July 4, all 398 Co-op cardlock locations across Western Canada are back online.
