During the pandemic, Canada’s large supermarket chains and their suppliers caught the attention of the public. Suppliers are pushing for the government to intervene over changing fees from chains like Walmart and Loblaw.
The suppliers’ main concerns are shelf space, fees, private-label plagiarism, fines for items such as late shipments and damaged product.
