Galleria Supermarket hosted a “Basket with Love” event on May 7 to help raise funds for COVID-19 relief for people in the community suffering as a result of the pandemic.
Donation packages were provided to the elderly, people with disabilities and others in need. Approximately 500 donation packages with $50 worth of necessities were distributed.
Galleria Supermarket CEO Jeffrey Min says because of support from participating sponsors, Galleria plans to continue to run the initiative throughout the month of May. For every $50 raised, Galleria will deliver a donation package through charity organizarions. To date, Galleria already has an additional 900 baskets of items it will donate through charity channels.
