Healthy Planet has expanded its frozen meat and seafood offerings as part of a store redesign it debuted at a new Hamilton, Ont. store.
The approximate 8,000 sq ft store has been completely revamped to better showcase food, health and beauty and nutrition departments.
Wan Park, area manager (Hamilton, Ancaster and Stoney Creek) for Healthy Planet, says the redesign and expanded categories provide customers with a better shopping experience.
“It’s a very modern look with features such as ceiling lights and clear signage throughout the store to help customers find what they need.”
In addition to a much broader SKU for its frozen meat and seafood, prominently located at the back wall of the store, there’s a new health and beauty boutique by the entrance area which features a facial scanning machine to determine skin type.
Park says Healthy Planet is also exploring fresh options. Currently, an Ancaster, Ont. store has a hydroponic system for growing microgreens and herbs, which the chain is piloting starting January 2021. If the pilot is successful, Park says Healthy Planet plans to expand the fresh offerings at other stores with longer term plans to offer fresh produce.
