Arctic Co-operatives has opened a community-owned store in Île-à-la-Crosse, Sask. Île-à-la-Crosse is also known by the Cree name, Sakitawak. The northern village is located in northwestern Saskatchewan and was the site of historic trading posts first established in 1778.
