Blendle “Scotty” Scott retired as executive vice president on December 31, 2019 after a 47-year career at Save-On-Foods.

Scott began his career at Save-On-Foods at the Port Coquitlam, B.C. store and spent the next 25 years travelling to communities in B.C. and Alberta. He joined the Langley, B.C. office in 1997 as manager of retail pricing and held several executive positions in merchandising, innovation, supply chain and ethnic category development.

He was recognized for his leadership skills with two awards: in 2007 he was named Save-On-Foods’ Business Leader of the Year and in 2017, he was recognized with the Jim Pattison Group Outstanding Management award.

Recognized in the industry as a visionary and highly accomplished leader, Scott will continue to work with Save-On-Foods as an advisor on special projects, but says he’s also looking forward to spending more time with his family.
