Veteran CPG executive Stephen Peers has retired after more than 37 years in the industry.

Peers began his career in Procter and Gamble in Edmonton in 1982 and progressed through a variety of senior management roles at Perco Sales, Parmalat Canada and most recently as vice president, sales at Pinnacle Foods Canada, while actively supporting industry initiatives such as Kids’ Help Phone.

He began his retirement transition early in 2016, moving to B.C.’s Gulf Islands while remaining in a senior role with Pinnacle Foods Canada.

Peers told Grocery Business that he felt that his greatest career achievement was supporting and mentoring the development of many future CPG industry leaders.  As he moves into the next stage, he plans to indulge his passion for cars, while also consulting on a variety of CPG projects.
