An Alberta greenhouse grower, Whole Leaf, has landed a deal to supply lettuce to all of Wendy’s 384 locations across Canada.

Based in Coaldale, Atla., the 11-acre greenhouse has become the sole supplier of leafy greens for Wendy’s Canada.

The greenhouse has been in operation for more than three years, and senior director of sales Rindi Bristol told Global News  she believes scale was important for a big brand like Wendy’s, as Whole Leaf is able to harvest 40,000-60,000 heads of lettuce six days a week.
