Beth Newlands Campbell out as Rexall president in executive shakeup


Grocery Business has confirmed that as part of an executive leadership change at Rexall Drugstore, Beth Newlands Campbell has been ousted from her role as president of the company. She was appointed president of the pharmacy chain in 2017.

Newlands is a former Sobeys executive who served as president of the Atlantic/Ontario Business Unit for the grocery chain. She has a 29-year career in the industry and worked at Delhaize America, including Hannaford Supermarkets and Food Lion, where she was president.

In a letter sent out to colleagues, Dominic Pilla, CEO of McKesson Canada, Rexall’s parent company, stated the role of president had been eliminated and that Nicolas Capri has been named COO and general manager. Capri is a pharamcist and pharmacy execuitve with extensive experience in national management operations.

McKesson Canada’s executive leadership team will consist of the following Business Unit leads:

  • Paula Keays, President, McKesson Canada
  • Nicolas Caprio, COO and General Manager, Rexall
  • George Attar, SVP, Technology Solutions and Claimsecure
  • Rebecca McKillican, CEO,

Pilla also announced additional changes to McKesson Canada’s executive leadership team.
