Food Basics celebrates newest Ontario store opening

Food Basics has opened its newest store in Port Hope, ON

The new location features more than 32,000 sq. ft of retail space, and includes organic produce, private label products such as Irresistibles and Selection, and an OLG Lottery kiosk. The new store, with 65-70 employees, was previously a Metro location.

Food Basics is also sponsoring a local hockey team, the Port Hope Panthers, and made a $1000 donation to the Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank.

Port Hope Mayor Bob Sanderson and Deputy Mayor Les Andrews were on hand for the opening.
