Food Basics rolls out province-wide 150% off campaign

In celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday, Food Basics is providing shoppers with a chance to win “150 per cent off their grocery bill.”

The grocery chain says it will reimburse winning customers for their total purchase, in addition to awarding winners a cheque equal to an additional 50 per cent of their original bill. The new campaign is a continuation of Food Basics’ “I Want It All” initiative.

To enter for a chance to win, customers can upload an image of their receipt at Each receipt will act as an official entry, and will remain in the draw until the end of the program, or until the moment that customer wins 150 per cent off.

For additional chances to win, shoppers are encouraged to sign up for Food Basics’ weekly e-newsletter to receive an additional entry. Winners will be drawn every weekday throughout the duration of the program, and announced on the grocery chain’s website and Facebook page.

Food Basics, a Metro Inc. banner, will distribute an estimated $100,000 in prices across Ontario. The contest runs from June 8 to July 5.
