Fortinos storage facility fire causes $255,000 in damage

A Fortinos storage building in Hamilton, ON, was severely damaged in a fire last week.

The fire broke out in a building used for food storage and processing and caused $225,000 in damage. Heavy cardboard stored on site fueled the blaze.

Most of the damage and dollar loss was accounted for by fire damage to the goods that were in storage, said a spokesperson for the Hamilton Fire Department.

The cause has not yet been determined.
