Gabriella’s Kitchen debuts on Canadian exchange

Health food maker Gabriella’s Kitchen has begun trading on the Canadian Securities Exchange.

The Calgary based company makes healthy alternatives to traditionally less-than-healthy ‘comfort’ foods. It has a range of more than 20 products in the high-protein, low-calorie, low-carbohydrate, vegan, gluten-free and allergy-sensitive food categories. The product family includes “skinnypasta,” “gabbypasta” and “noodi” brands, along with the new “alto” brand products, infused with cannabis-derived cannabinoids (including CBD and THC).

Gabriella’s Kitchen says “alto” represents a supplement its existing portfolio, and claims “alto” products are the first of their kind on the market, representing a new approach to healthy food products.

“The future of the wellness industry will be based on companies that are accommodating a holistic approach to health, which includes cannabis,” said Margot Micallef, founder and CEO of Gabriella’s Kitchen. “People will now have the choice to drink cannabis instead of a beer or the choice to eat a product in the form of an edible. Our new line of infused products is not only the future of the wellness industry, but a crucial role in living a healthy life.”

Gabriella’s Kitchen trades under the symbol ‘GABY.’
