Distribution Canada Inc. (DCI) and Canadian Independent Grocery Buyers Alliance (CIGBA) have set up a GoFundMe campaign to support one of its members, Sayers Foods, after the grocer suffered a devastating fire on December 5.

DCI and CIGBA, which has already donated $5,000, is reaching out to members and supplier partners for support. All of the proceeds will be given to the Sayers Family to split equally between employees up to $50,000 and any raised above that going to redevelopment of a new grocery store. DCI and CIGBA say they hope to raise $100,000.

To donate to the Sayers Foods Fire Relief Fund, visit the GoFundMe page online. Deadline for donations is December 18.
