Metro reopens revamped Toronto College Park store

Metro has reopened its store at College Park in Toronto after extensive renovations.

Located in Toronto’s historic College Park building, the revamped location now features new products and services including a Starbucks kiosk, local products, more than 100 varieties of cheese, an expanded selection of Fresh2Go ready-made meals and floral designer services.

The store has officially been named Metro College Park to pay tribute to the historic building and the surrounding area. The décor has also been updated to include images of Queens Park, the Allan Gardens Conservatory as well as the College Park building itself.

“We recognize how important this Metro store is to the people who both work and live in the College Park community,” said Metro senior vice president Joe Fusco. “We have expanded our products and services to better serve our customers – whether they are grabbing a quick lunch during the workday or doing their full weekend grocery shop.”

At the opening, Metro presented a $1000 donation to FoodShare Toronto.

Metro also recently launched a local purchasing program in the Greater Toronto Area to showcase products from regional suppliers. Shoppers can now support local businesses and vendors by buying local products in a variety of departments including bakery, deli meats and cheese and more.
