Pattison’s Buy-Low buys popular Okanagan grocery store

The independent Valu-Plus Foods grocery store in Keremeos, B.C., near Penticton, has been bought by Buy-Low Foods. Buy-Low Foods is owned by the Jim Pattison Group and was the primary supplier to the Valu-Plus store for many years through its Associated Grocers Wholesale Division.

The rebranding to the Buy-Low banner took place May 13. Shannon Forner, the general manager under Valu-Plus, remains in the same role at the rebranded store. The Valu-Plus staff have also been retained by the new owners.
