Rabba Fine Foods has finished a three-year project to improve its energy efficiency.
By switching to LED light fixtures at all 34 stores and distribution centres, Rabba says it has cut energy consumption by 54 per cent, saving 1.4 million kWh. The average drop in lighting energy consumption across all locations is 57 per cent.
Rabba’s project started three years ago with LED lighting installation at a Brampton, ON location and finished at a downtown Toronto store.
Rabba was also recently nominated to receive the Spirit Award as part of Alectra Utilities’ first annual customer awards event, which recognizes companies for their participation in energy conservation programs.
