Save-On-Foods charity golf tournament raises over $700K for children’s hospitals

Nearly 300 golfers gathered on Wednesday, June 5, to support five children’s hospitals across Western Canada at the 27th annual Save-On-Foods Charity Golf Tournament, raising $704,878.

Golfers from Save-On-Foods’ business and supplier partner community were welcomed by company leaders at Surrey’s Northview Golf and Country Club for networking and fun. All proceeds benefitted the foundations of Save-On-Foods’ hospital partners: BC Children’s Hospital, the Children’s Hospital of Manitoba, Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital, Stollery Children’s Hospital and Alberta Children’s Hospital.

“Every year, our community of team members, supplier partners and business partners looks forward to this golf tournament at beautiful Northview Golf and Country Club, and for good reason,” says Darrell Jones, president of Save-On-Foods’ parent company Pattison Food Group. “Not only is this day a fantastic opportunity to connect with each other, but it gives us an opportunity to reflect on the impact working together has on our friends and neighbours all across Western Canada. I am so proud of this year’s record total donation, and extremely appreciative to the folks who supported the success of this tournament and ultimately, the success of our future — our kids.”
