SIAL announces 2020 Innovation award winners

SIAL Canada has announced the winners of its 2020 Innovation Awards. The announcement was made during SIAL Canada’s 2020 virtual trade show and conference, held September 28 to October 1.

The awards included five winners: Gold, Silver and Bronze  and two special awards for packaging and organic.

Gold: Art Kombucha’s gluten-free beer fermented with yeast and bacteria of Kombucha.

Silver: Ideal Aluminum’s 100 per cent compostable hot chicken container.

Bronze: LOC Industrial’s Vegan herbal butter.

La Fromagerie L’Ancêtre won the organic special prize under the fresh products category for its organic fondue made with organic L’Ancêtre cheese and organic Quebec beer La Léonnne.

Top Glaciers Inc. won the special packaging prize for its six organic sorbets (lemon, chocolate, strawberry, raspberry, mango and pear) offered in a new recyclable packaging.

SIAL Innovation is a unique international competition and a hallmark of SIAL trade shows that recognizes the best innovations in food and non-food products.
