Women in Food Industry Management (WFIM) held its first sustainability summit on April 23. The virtual event attracted more than 200 people and Brenda Seto, WFIM board director, says based on the success of the event, the non-profit organization plans to hold a second similar event in the near future.

“The summit was well received, and people were engaged and I believe that part of the success was due to a robust roundtable, strong speakers and sessions that were geared to two different groups at different levels of their sustainability journeys because no one person or company has the solution and we can all learn from each other,” says Seto.

Speakers included Nita Tandon, founder and CEO of Dalcini Stainless, Ryan McKenzie, co-founder and CEO of Tru Earth, both sustainable household product companies, and many more.
