UNFI Canada hosts inaugural Vendor Summit

As the food supply chain industry continues to grapple with hurdles created by the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, rising costs across most aspects of our industry and labour shortages, UNFI Canada hosted its inaugural hybrid Vendor Summit at the Novotel Hotel and Resorts in Vaughan, Ont. on November 17th.

UNFI Canada leaders presented a comprehensive view of what UNFI Canada has in store to support its vendor community for 2022 and beyond, including details on its new 5-year strategic plan to Fuel The Future

In front of nearly 70 attendees in person and another 250 streaming online, UNFI Canada also welcomed an array of industry professionals to participate in the presentation.

We don’t want to just participate in the conversation,” said Stacey Kravitz, president of UNFI Canada. “We want to be a true leader of the food industry. Our mission is about every single one of us helping our vendors to thrive and succeed. It’s about pioneering what’s next.”

At the event, Melinda Zoccoli, Vice President of Marketing and Supplier Services explained how UNFI Canada plans to Unlock the Customer Experience by providing value-added insight about the industry and retailer landscape to vendor partners. That includes a range of products and services, helping them take advantage of consumer and retail trends.“We sincerely appreciate the time commitment from each of our partners to join us for our first annual Vendor Summit,” said Zoccoli. “Our goal was to deliver substantive value to our vendor community by providing timely and honest information in a transparent setting that will set the stage for progressive brand growth for our vendors, and how we can transform the future of food together.”
