Final amount raised was $25,156.43.

Vince’s Market has announced the first recipients of its Community Project Initiative donations. The initiative was launched last January and a total of $25,156.43 was disbursed to four organizations to help them with their community based work.

The 2018 recipients, announced at a special event on January 9, are selected by customers and staff. The Vince’s team identifies one item per flyer and the donations are based on 15 per cent of the sales of that item.

For 2018 the recipients are:

  • Doane House Hospice, Newmarket
  • Blue Door Shelters, Sharon
  • Tottenham Food Bank, Tottenham
  • Uxbridge/Scugog Animal Shelter, Uxbridge

“We couldn’t have done it without our customers, who have been instrumental to our community support,” said Giancarlo Trimarchi, partner, CFO and controller at Vince’s Market. “This particular initiative was even more successful than expected, and we are proud to offer significant contributions to four very worthwhile local causes.”
