IGA has launched a new ‘live harvest’ initiative at a store in Ville Saint-Laurent, QC.

Last year the store operated a rooftop garden, described as the largest organic garden in the country, selling its produce direct to customers.

This year, the chain has evolved the “Frais du toit” initiative (the name means “fresh from the rooftop”) to enable customers to order produce via an in-store kiosk – and have it immediately harvested and brought to them in the store by an employee.
