WATCH: Why big CPGs are moving to re-usable packaging

Some of the world’s largest CPG companies, including Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Nestlé, PepsiCo, Danone and Mondelēz International, are partnering on a new solution that aims to cut down on packaging waste. Called Loop, the project proposes to re-use product packaging in home deliveries using a model very similar to milk deliveries in the past – receive your products, use them up, and then have the empty containers picked up and returned to the manufacturer for re-use.

Loop will roll out to several thousand consumers in New York and Paris in May, London later in the year, and Toronto, Tokyo and San Francisco in 2020.
