Jean-Philippe (J.P.) Towner has been appointed chief financial officer for Dollarama, effective March 1, 2021. He succeeds Michael Ross, who will step down as CFO after more than a decade with the company.
Ross will remain with the company in an advisory capacity until his retirement to ensure a smooth transition.
Towner is a seasoned finance executive with experience in corporate and financial strategy, capital markets, risk management, logistics and procurement. Prior to his role with Dollarama, he was executive vice president and chief financial officer of Pomerleau Inc., a multi-billion dollar construction and engineering firm. He also worked close to ten years with BMO Capital Markets.
