John Scott named chair of CAPI
July 20, 2017 – The Canadian Agri-Food Policy Institute (CAPI) has named John F.T. Scott as chair of its board of directors.
Scott, a frequent contributor to Grocery Business, speaks, writes and consults on the food distribution sector. He was CEO of the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers from 1991 to 2013, and is the past chair of the Vineland Research and Innovation Centre. He has been involved with CAPI since its inception and has served on the board for the past three years.
Scott succeeds Ted Bilyea, who was chair of CAPI for six years and announced his resignation earlier this year.
