Kruger Products is supporting frontline healthcare workers and Canadians in need through the launch of a national program #RollingItForward.
The company delivered its first in a series of care packages of Kruger tissue products to frontline healthcare workers at several hospitals across Montreal on April 6. Over the next few weeks Kruger will do the same for frontline healthcare workers at hospitals in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal.
Susan Irving, chief marketing officer for Kruger Products, tells Grocery Business Magazine says Kruger plans to expand the initiative.
“We’re looking at opportunities to expand this initiative and we continue to look for ways to support those in need during this challenging time.”
She adds that Kruger hopes to cover 15 to 20 hospitals and deliver approximately 1,500 care packages per hospital. “That works out to anywhere from 22,500 to 30,000 healthcare workers.”
Kruger Products is partnering with Mercedes-Benz Canada to deliver the tissue products. The automaker is providing a fleet of more than 20 Sprinter and Metris Vans to facilitate deliveries.
Kruger Products is also making a significant tissue product donation to Food Banks Canada, and a financial contribution to support frontline healthcare workers. “There’s never been a more important time in Canadian history to step up and give back,” says Dino Bianco, Chief Executive Officer, Kruger Products. “We are so grateful to the heroic frontline healthcare workers across Canada who are putting their lives on the line to keep our country safe and healthy. We are also very concerned for the many Canadians in desperate need and are committed to helping Canada’s food banks make a difference.”
