Loblaw employee and reservist gets recognition for Remembrance Day efforts

William Right, an associate merchant at Loblaw Companies Limited and a member of the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves, has received recognition for his initiatives in organizing Remembrance Day tribute ceremonies for the last several years at the company.

Right, who belongs to the Governor General’s Horse Guards united of the CAF, was recognized by his CAF unit for his efforts and presented with a Commanding Officers Commendation and a Command Team Coin of Excellence.

Grocery Business, reported on Right earlier this year, when in April he took a four-month leave of absence from Loblaw to serve in a CAF operation to assist Canadian communities dealing with the COVID-19 crisis. For his efforts during this period, he received another coin (1 Territorial Battle Group Command Team Coin) to recognize his exceptional work during the four-month initiative dubbed Operation Laser.
