The Grocery Foundation’s annual Night to Nurture Gala takes place February 3 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. And, as in past years, thousands will come together for a good cause: raising money to help feed hungry children in Ontario.
Since its inception, the Foundation, in partnership with the grocery and food industry and non-profit organizations, has donated more than $85 million to programs such as Kids Help Phone and breakfast programs in Ontario schools.
Shaun McKenna, executive director of The Grocery Foundation, says there will be some new elements added to this year’s event.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming the grocery industry to our 39th annual gala and we’re excited to be introducing a couple of new elements to the evening.”
The evening will include a cocktail reception, a silent auction, entertainment and raffle ticket purchases for a chance to win a new car.
One of the largest fundraising dinners in North America, the Night to Nurture event raises close to $2 million annually to help kids in need.
