Metro and its associated banners – Super C, Food Basics, Premiere Mossion, Adonis, Jean Coutu and Brunet – have donated more than $757,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to help relief efforts in Beirut following an explosion that struck the city on August 4. The money was raised through a fundraising campaign with support from customers and employees.
The donation is in addition to the $50,000 Metro donated to the Canadian Red Cross in August, bringing the total donation to more than $807,000.
