The CPE Fleur de Papier, a new childcare facility at Metro’s Terrebonne distribution centre, is complete. Metro completed this project in collaboration with Vergo. It marks Metro’s third workplace childcare centre.

The new centre, which provides 80 new childcare spots, including 20 for children under 18 months, is part of Metro’s ongoing efforts to support its employees and their families. The construction was made possible by a significant investment of over $420 million in the Terrebonne distribution centre, which began operations in the fall of 2023.

A $173,646.23 grant from Quebec’s Ministry of Families supported the project, which was used to furnish the centre and develop the outdoor area. The CPE Fleur de Papier, a non-profit organization run predominantly by parent volunteers, will be staffed by nearly 20 employees.
