The chain says the renovation represents a “major investment” and includes the addition of 30 new employees and a modernized 54,000 sq ft store.

The upgraded store in Milton offers customers a variety of fresh and local products including Foodland Ontario produce, an improved deli section with a larger assortment, delicious ready-made meals, fresh cut fruit, a full floral section and more. Additionally, the pharmacy has been relocated to the centre of the store with added Nature Signatures to extend our health and wellness selection.

“We are so excited to welcome the Milton community to our newly renovated store. We are giving customers what they want including an expanded health and wellness offering, local products through our Locally Sourced program and a great selection of ready-made meals including stone-baked artisan pizza and fresh rotisserie chicken. It is important to us that our store integrates with the community, so we’ve tailored our product offering and store décor to reflect the neighbourhood,” says Joe Fusco, senior vice president, Metro.

To emphasize its purpose to nourish the health and well-being of our communities, Metro has donated $2,500 to the local Salvation Army Khi Community in Milton to help support those directly in the area.
