After four months of work, Adonis has opened its third store in Ontario and second in Mississauga.
The new $10 million location covers 45,892 square feet and has more than 150 employees. Specializing in Mediterranean products, the store features a buffet-style counter with fresh-cooked hot and grilled foods, a patio and a 50-seat eating area. In addition to a wide variety of fresh produce, the store has a large nut-and-olive counter and a wide selection of fresh meats and marinated products. There are also counters for seafood and fresh cheese. In addition, Adonis also offers a variety of Middle Eastern, honey and French cakes and pastries, as well as an organic products section.
Several types of Mediterranean pizzas cooked on site can be taken out or eaten in the bistro area, and crèpes and freshly squeezed juice are also available.
The new store is part of the continuing expansion of Adonis into Ontario from its Quebec base, where it operates ten stores. Adonis has been adding to its store network since entering a partnership with Metro in 2011. This is the ninth new supermarket to open since the partnership was launched.
