Amazon in talks with retailers about its cashierless Go store tech

Amazon is reportedly in talks with Walmart and Target in the U.S. to make its software that enables its cashierless Go available to the retailers.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Amazon is reaching out through an organization called Dent, but the WSJ reports that neither company plans to adopt the technology according to a source close to Target and a spokesperson for Walmart.

Amazon is looking for retailers to adopt its technology, according to WSJ, noting that retailers have long since seen Amazon as a threat, "which makes promoting the Go technology a challenge."
