PepsiCo Inc. announced Pearl Milling Company as the new rebrand of formerly known Aunt Jemima.
Pearl Milling Company branded products will arrive in June 2021, with pancake mix, syrups, cornmeal, flour and more.
In June 2020, the company announced it was changing from the Aunt Jemima name and likeness and made a $5 million commitment to support the Black community.
The company was founded in 1888 and updated its image intending to remove racial stereotypes.
Pearl Milling Company will also be announcing a $1 million commitment for Black women, inviting the community to nominate non-profits to win a grant.
PepsiCo has invested $400M over five years for Black business and to increase representation.
