The most influential brand in Canada has maintained its top position for the eighth consecutive year.
The “Ipsos Most Influential Brands in Canada” ranking is released annually by Ipsos and the Association of Canadian Advertisers. It is based on a survey conducted with Publicis of 6700 Canadians. Criteria are:
- Leading Edge
- Corporate Citizenship
The survey was conducted last October. This year is the eighth year the list has been released – and Google has been in the top spot each time, reports Strategy Online.
Following Google, in order, are Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Microsoft, YouTube, Visa, Netflix, Walmart Canada and Tim Hortons. Tim Hortons is back on the list after slipping off following some credibility issues in 2017 and 2018.
“The commonality with these 10 brands can be found in their deep understanding of the ‘on-demand’ culture we are currently living in,” Ipsos concludes. “When shopping for products and services, the Canadian consumer wants and expects the experience to be fast, accurate, and reliable. Brands that can assist Canadians the most effectively in this manner earn them trust and the continued business of Canadians.”
