Clorox is expected to meet high demand by summer, by producing two million canisters per day.
Since the pandemic started, consumers have stocked up on cleaning supplies, leading to a shortage of Clorox disinfectant wipes.
Clorox will be starting a second manufacturing line for wipes at its Atlanta location. Transportation issues in the consumer packaged industry have impacted Clorox.
Clorox has revised its prediction of when it will be able to meet consumer demand, previously stating it would be by the end of 2021.
"I use that 2 million mark to meet the longer term or at least in this fiscal year demand levels that we are seeing," says Tony Matta, executive vice president and chief growth officer of Clorox.
