Coca-Cola Canada is investing $85 M to build a dairy production facility in Peterborough, ON. The facility will provide new production capabilities, starting with fairlife Ultrafiltered Milk, a lactose free product containing nine essential nutrients. Coca Cola is working closely with Dairy Farmers of Ontario to make Canada the first international market for fairlife products.
The new facility is scheduled to begin operations in the first quarter of 2020, producing fairlife Ultrafiltered Milk in Fat Free, 2 per cent White, 2 per cent Chocolate and Whole (3.25 per cent) White in 1.5L PET bottles; and 2 per cent White and 2 per cent Chocolate in 240 mL PET bottles. It will create 35 jobs.
Coca-Cola has introduced a range of new products into Canada over the last 18 months, including smaller package formats and new brands, such as Gold Peak, smartwater sparkling, Glaceau fruitwater, vitaminwater active, Peace Tea, and Powerade Zero.
