The Canadian Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Week kicked off on April 12.
The virtual event runs until April 16.
Fresh Week is an online suite of education, speakers and opportunities for produce industry members to connect and network.
On Tuesday, April 13th, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif will be the keynote speaker. Duvernay-Tardif plays for the Kansas City Chiefs and has a doctorate in medicine. He is an advocate for following your passions.
On Friday, April 16th, David Coletto will be the keynote speaker. Coletto is the chief executive officer and founding partner of Abacus Data, a market research firm based in Ottawa and Toronto. Coletto has over 15 years of experience in the industry and has worked with many agriculture and agri-food organizations.
Here are some highlights of events to attend this week.
- New product showcase kicks off on April 12, 2021 and will highlight award winners in new technology, packaging, snackable and organic products
- CEO spotlight fireside chats, including one with Giant Tiger’s president and CEO, Paul Wood on the chain’s growth and expansion plans (April 14 12:00 pm EDT) and Darrell Jones, president of Save-On-Foods, who will share his insights working in the food business for 45 years.
