Farm Boy has announced that it will open a second location in Toronto’s Leslie and Lakeshore neighbourhood.
The new 20,038 sq ft store, located at 1015 Lake Shore Blvd East, will open this winter, creating 130 new jobs. In addition to fresh produce, meats, artisan cheese and fresh dairy, shoppers will be able to buy a selection of locally made products and plant-based foods plus sweet and savoury treats made in the Farm Boy Kitchen.
The store will also offer a fast-casual restaurant experience including flatbread pizza and fresh made sushi. A made-to-order fresh grilling station will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner with daily features such as grilled paninis, seared Farm Boy sausages and gourmet grilled cheese. Shoppers can take the meals home or dine in the store’s eating area, which will be WiFi enabled.
“After opening locations in Etobicoke and Hamilton we’ve received many requests from residents in the Toronto area asking us to open a Farm Boy in their neighbourhood,” says Jeff York, Farm Boy co-CEO. “We are excited to share the news today with the Leslie and Lake Shore community and we promise to work hard to earn their business.”
